Tulsa
Tulsa! Tulsa was an amazing
When we got into town, everything was overcast a kind of crummy feeling. We stopped at Best Buy to see if I could return my bass amp. A few days into the tour, my bass amp stopped working. The good news is the amp was still under warranty so I was able to return it
We played at a coffee shop called the Gypsy, a cool converted warehouse right off the freeway. We played with the very talented Joe of Leftmore. He played a great set. During his last song he played a set of drinking glasses with spoons.
I played a small set and got a great response from the crowd.
During the abi robins set, we started out feeling kind of weird. However, Ahkil, during our second song decided it would help boost our spirits by 'quoting' a riff. During a brief solo section, he played a few bars from the Star Wars theme. We all didn't know what to so with ourselves. We all started laughing. It was hard to finish the song
Half way during our set a bunch of amazing guys and gals from Sand Springs came in and watched our set. They were so much fun! It's so nice to have people really dig what you're playing. They started dancing and helped us write an impromptu song. After we played our set they performed a scene from they're upcoming production of Grease. :)
I hope we get to go back soon!
