So here I am, cutting a record with Nick Salmon at The Faint's studio in Omaha NE. Nick and I arrived early in the evening (5/31) and have been hanging out with the engineer/producer Kyle. He was the bass player for the last Broken Spindles tour.
The studio has a great feel. Nick and I both feel very comfortable and are very excited to hit the ground running on recording. I'm playing bass during the sessions but will also be assisting with the synth work and anything else that needs to be worked on. It is going to be and interesting experience.
Right now, I'm about to sleep on a love seat in the back room of The Faint's recording studio. Its really strange to me that I'm not weirded out or intimidated by the fact that I'm here.
