Chicago, the Elbo Room

Last night we played a unique show at the Elbo Room in Chicago. Being a Monday night expecting a big crowd, but we plenty of friends show up. It was nice to play our music surrounded by friends. Our sets were a lot looser and we tons of fun just jamming out.

As usual, Zach Balch tore up his set, reprising his cover low places. We also played with the lovely Mindy Bartlett. Her voice truly blew me away! The Abi Robins set was very interesting. All four of us crammed on the the tiny stage and did our thing. I also played a short set of my own music.

I also met my dear friend Emily from Austin who moved up there last year. It was wonderful to hang out and catch up. We used to play d and d back in Austin. We got to nerd out about rolling crits and no one knew what we were talking about haha!

We got a very early start this morning because a giant snow storm that was looming over Chicago. We did, however, arrive quickly and safely to Paducah Kentucky. Tonight we are playing a house show.
